ell, it
had been a long three weeks since we'd been to crescent ...so we packed up the "carrie lynn" and headed down for some trophy trout hunting! The weather forecast was "adventurous",
but we were gonna give it heck and fish no matter what. The drive over the pass was a white knuckler for sure.
Spring Time Fishing in Oregon, Gotta Love it!! |

Thursday
weather was hit and miss...sun, wind and snow. We tried trolling in a different area than normal and landed this nice 5 lb
buck. I was bringing the dr up to ck the lure and fish on! Browns love that change in action!
Dan's Wife, Carrie, Get's a Great Brown! |

Off the Downrigger, she did a great job on landing this 5lb brown! Nice work, Carrie! |
We also
landed a 10 lb mack thursday, but didn't take a pic. We woke up Friday to this...yee haw!

Visibility
was awesome!
Hard Core TTH'ing!!! I LOVE IT!!!!!!!! |
|
It blew
and blew and snowed hard for most of the day, it was the most extreme weather we've ever fished in, but we were loving it!
Carrie and her folks were bundled up in the cabin while I stayed outside and watched the rods. On flatline in 20' water, we
got this nice 14lber. This was our first mack on flatline and I gotta say, they sure fight harder this way vs. pulling them
up from the depths! What a fighter! I love how the spots extend all the way to the belly, what a pretty fish!
Hard Core TTH'ing at it's BEST!!! |

Way to stick with it, Dan!!! It paid off in dividends for you with a 14 lb Mack!! |
The weather
broke late afternoon and it was beautiful. By myself while everyone had lunch on shore, I managed one more small mackinaw
for the day.
Saturday we tried yet another spot I've never trolled for browns and landed this one.
A nice 4 lber for Dan. |

The weather looks just slightly better, doesn't it? |
I
was very excited because this was our second trip in a row that we've managed to catch the brownies...we're finally starting
to figure a few things out! Thanks Bwild at TTH!
All together we managed 3 macks and 2 browns for 3 days of fishing...pretty slow, but we'll take
it! We had a blast fishing in the blizzard and learned a couple things in the process. Thanks to my wife and her folks for
sticking it out with me.
Cheers, Dan & Carrie
