Dear TTH-
Thought I would send you and your readers an update on the fishing we found at Crescent Lake these past few weeks.
In late May the fish
seemed to be interested in biting as long as the sun was not shining directly on the water.
Clouds and early AM seemed to be the best bet for getting into some nice Lake Trout action. Most of our fish were actively feeding about 70 feet deep in anywhere from 90-130 feet of water. In June the pattern switched and the fish could be found 60-70 feet deep in 200+ feet of water. Typically we would put one or two fish per rod in the boat daily with some days providing spectacular success.
One day over Memorial Day weekend my son Jared put six Lakers in his boat between 10 and 20-4 pounds, by himself
and without a net!! The day prior my wife Linda and I had double hook-ups on
17 and 16 pound fish! A few weeks later my youngest son Wesley came home from
OSU and caught his first Lake Trout - a nice 18 pounder! Needless
to say we are having a blast.
Thanks to Trophy Trout Hunter, BWild, RD, and the rest of the gang for all you do.
