Things really took off in early May when the water finally reached 40 degrees and the fish began to feed, in earnest, on Kokanee.   By mid-May the bite had really turned on and we were having days when we caught nine fish with an average weight of about fifteen pounds.  The fish seemed to be holding quite deep and preferred to bite either early or late in the day. 

Team Burton (The Barbarian, Jared, Wesley and guests, Paul and Jeff)  put five fish in the boat during the first half of May that were over 20 pounds.  Jared set the high mark with his personal record at 23-6 pounds.  All of the fish were released to fight again another day except those who preferred to return home with us and go on the smoker. 

Crescent Lake is really living up to it's reputation as a true trophy trout fishery for those willing to put the time and effort into learning the techniques and tactics that bring the fish to the net.  Team Burton wants to thank RD, Brian, and all the fishermen at Trophy Trout Hunter for their assistance and support.  Best of luck to all of you.
